Sri Lanka won by 199 runs

Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 199 runs according to the Duckworth/Lewis method in their Group B match at Trinidad on Wednesday. Chasing 319 to win, Bangladesh were bowled out for 112 in 37 overs. The match was interrupted twice due to rain and Bangladesh was given a revised target of 311 runs.

The Lankans were led by Sanath Jayasuriya who cracked his 24th ODI hundred and was adjudged the Man of the Match. Kumar Sangakkara and Chamara Silva made fifties and skipper Mahela Jaywardene made 46 as they posted 318 for four after they were put in to bat by Bangladesh skipper Habibul Bashar.

Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by 93 runs

Chasing 193 (20 overs) for a win after the target was revised under the Duckworth-Lewis method due to rain, Zimbabwe was bundled out 99 runs in 19.1 overs at Sabina Park, Jamaica on Wednesday. Both sides, Pakistan and Zimbabwe, have been eliminated and from Group D, Ireland will join West Indies in the Super Eights.

Pakistan were all out for 349 in 49.5 overs, their highest total in World Cup, after being put in to bat by Zimbabwe skipper Prosper Utseya. Imran Nazir led the Pakistan run spree with a career best 160 runs, which came off just 121 deliveries and included 14 boundaries and eight hits across the fence.
